Just follow the simple step-by-step instructions in the Google Home app.³ For most homes, there’s no C wire required, which makes installation even easier.⁵ But for some systems, including heating-only, cooling-only, zone-controlled, and heat pump systems, you’ll need a Nest Power Connector or C wire.
